    I don't think most would find it worthwhile. The Envy 14 has such a strong audio chip headphones can be pushed to their limits if you're on the go and nearly any external speaker will sound better than something from within the machine.

    Sounds like a cool mod if you can manage something like that - I'd open up the case and get a good look at the speakers and the space around them for fit questions, as well as the connectors to see what might be able to replace the built-in speakers.

    I can't imagine those JBL speakers fitting in (even with the casing removed), though, and they're battery powered so that would be a real pain unless you could somehow jack them into the notebook's power supply.
