2 questions, number one, I was gonna order the Envy 14 beats edition only because I prefer the black color (I doubt theres any performance difference), but I don't like the red backlit keyboard. Since it has the same body and internals as the Envy 14 regular, can I get the regular blue/white backlit keyboard and switch it?

number two, are there any known 900p (or 1080p if possible) LCD replacements for the Envy 14? If not, what type of connector is it? 40 pin? Does anyone know where the connector is located (bottom right, center etc.) im really considering changing the LCD myself since HP wont

I've been wondering the same things.
I'm not sure about the monitor, but I'm pretty sure they don't sell a radiance replacement screen to swap. Regarding the keyboard it should be possible to just switch the red keyboard with the white keyboard. I saw replacements on sale on eBay. However, the keyboard frame (not the keys themselves) wouldn't match the rest of the computer (it is bronze, not black). You could maybe pop all the keys out and swap them, but if the translucent part of the key where the light comes through is red tinted that won't work.
I don't know. Let me know if you find anything or figure anything about. I'm not so much a fan of the red backlight either, or the special B key.
