Whenever I am playing music on my laptop, I keep getting a robotic sound for a split second. It happens every 15-30 seconds. It also happens when playing videos or streaming online videos. Basically anything with sound will do this robotic studder sound. I've uninstalled my sound card driver and reinstalled. I've also reinstalled iTunes. Any ideas what could be wrong?

I don't know if this'll help but go to your control panel and sound and check that the stereo mix isn't set to play sound or something like that, I somehow did that once and got super weird sound from my speakers.

Hmm, sounds like a DPC Latency issue to me.
I've sometimes had that happen when the system is under heavy load (such as in games), but rarely with it under light load. It's often caused by things like WiFi drivers.

I've googled the DPC Latency issue and that definitely sounds like what the problem is that I am facing right now. Any tips on how to possible detect what is causing it?
