Hey, so my current laptop is failing me so I was looking to get an Envy. I was planning on waiting for the SB refresh of the Envy 14 but I found a deal for a new Envy 14 with first gen Intel with the model number 1050CA.

I've heard reports that, although it says 720p resolution on websites, the laptop actually has the radiance display.

It is on sale for $899 CND.

    Is it worth it??

EDIT: I went ahead and purchased the laptop. I can confirm that they are the Radiance displays. If anyone was interested in picking up a 1st gen Intel Envy 14 the Markham NCIX Store has some.

Back when you could order the envy 14 first gen intel cores from HP site, the screen was upgradable fom 720p to FHD, so there will be some models with and without the radiance display.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember reading somewhere that HP wasn't planning to refresh the envy 14. Or was it the 15 model that got dropped...
