    Hello. I was wondering if there is a way to change the color of the lights on the back-lit keyboard on the new HP Envy 15.

    I think the red backlit keys on the Beats edition look sweet, but the rest of the computer looks tacky for me (the huge Beats logo). Would be cool if you could put red backlights in the Envy 15. I wonder if you could open it up and switch out the white LED's for another color?

    I wonder if someone on this site knows how switch the LED lights on a laptop backlit keyboard. Anyone? :confused:

    It'd take a long time with steady hands and a fine soldering iron. Although if the keys come off, you might not have to disassemble the computer....

    You can probably open it up and mod it. But that sounds to be more trouble than it's worth.
