    Hello,

I'm the owner of a shiny new Envy 15, and I'm having a huge problem with the trackpad or whatever you want to call that thing.

Aside from the fact that the trackpad is off-center compared to the "home keys" for touch typists, I am having a much bigger issue with it's lack of responsiveness to my thumb.

Specifically, when I'm typing and want to simply reach down with my right thumb to move the mouse pointer, it won't respond. I'm touching it with the side of my thumb and this has not been a problem on my HP EliteBook 8440p or even previous Dell Latitudes.

I have tried adjusting a variety of the settings but I cannot seem to get it to respond properly.

    Does anybody have any suggestions?

Have you tried "palm check"? I have a feeling that the drivers are interpreting the side of your thumb as a palm.

I have tried changing the sensitivity, but I'll check again...

This is really frustrating, because this has the best screen with the best colors. My alternative seems like the Elitebook 8560w with it's top-notch display...
