    Hi everyone,

    Model: HP Envy 15 1050-ca

Long story short - I wiped out my recovery partition about 6 months ago while playing around with some Linux Distros. I eventually re-installed Win 7 Pro (Linux is still lacking imo) but I would really like to have the option to restore to the HP Factory Settings.

Does anyone know if there is a way to download those discs/isos and/or recreate the partition somehow?

I've read that you can call the manufacturer and they'll send you the recovery discs for a couple bucks. Any truth to that? Does anyone know the process?

Any thoughts, info, links are greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

Wow. 45 bucks for them to ship me a recovery dvd.

Not sure if it's worth it.

    Hi tehsoz,

Are you not able to download the recovery media from the HP site?
