    Hi Folks!

I just got a HP Envy 15 today and have been fighting with it. I have a fresh load of the OS and VLC is installed. I have a .m2ts file I have ripped from a bluray that plays perfectly fine while ON power.

As soon as I pull the A/C vlc starts to stutter the video. The audio is fine. When I plug the A/C back in it recovers.

I have gone into power settings and told it to use high performance settings, as well as made sure that the video card and the processor continue to use maximum performance.

One thing of interest - I installed the iCore7 utility and while playing the .m2ts file I see the CPU hovering around 2.5ghz. When I pull the a/c cord i see the CPU drop down to the base 1.6ghz and never go above there - almost as if when on battery the "boost" is disabled.

Has anyone seen this or have an idea?

    Matt

One thing of interest - Windows Media player plays the video fine on A/C or on battery - but no audio - I don't think it supports Dolby TrueHD.
