    Hello,
I am from germany and I want to upgrade my display in my HP Envy.
Currently a LG LP156WH2-TLC2 work in the Envy 1090eg with a resolution
    1366 x 768 40pin right.
    I can get a LG LP156WF-TLB1 matte.
My question is this compatible in the Envy 15?
Must I chance inverter or cable?

Maybe you can tell me something Star Forge?

Yes that one will work. In fact I upgraded from the 1366 to that exact panel! Have fun!

    Ok, I didn`t need a new cable?
The connector right now is on the right side,
the new display LP154WF1-TLB1 had the connector on the left.

Are you looking at the panel with the connector facing you on the left? If so, if you flip it with the screen facing you it would be on the right, matching the cable's side.

Otherwise, there isn't any different cabling that has the cable on the opposite side, since all the HP-sourced panels for the Envy 15 is on the right side. The one I got as well for my own upgrade was on the correct side, so I didn't have to do anything special really.
