Just want to chime out. Bought the HP Envy around this time last year. It was a small refresh of the original HP Envy 15. Got the i5 core with SSD.

It is still rocking solid. Been playing RIFT with it. Played WoW with it. Played DCUO with it. Dual screen. Jamming!

I'd say it was more so a fix. While it did get a nice processor/GPU refresh, it also fixed many of the Gen1's lingering problems. Heating issues, creaky palmrests, and a slew of other issues. I can attest to the heating issues as my friendly temporarily had both in his possession and tested the cooling abilities of both. Gen1 tended to get super duper hot under typical gaming conditions. SC2 beta wasn't even all that demanding in the first place!!!
