    Hello all,

I am running into a strange problem with my Beats Audio button/wheel.
The volume wheel works fine when I am not watching a video online (say youtube).
Lets say I start watching a video on youtube, the wheel would work fine as long as I do not touch the youtube player volume settings. If I change the volume in the player..then the beats wheel does stops working...the icon on the screen shows up..but the volume does not change and the volume bars do not increase or decrease...To make if work, I have to click on the volume icon in the taskbar. Then the wheel starts responding again...Can anyone help me fix this issue?

    Bump.
I have the same problem on my envy 17. on youtube and all flashgames in the browser. But only on firefox. no problem in chrome. Also on some AAA games (Skyrim). Yubie, if it is the same problem, workaround is to use chrome, but i have found no solution. :(

If it is working on Chrome it would seem that is more driver issue than anything else?

Thanks for the reply! Sorry I could not get reply sooner. After 200views with no response..I thought no one would respond.
Coming back to the problem...I remember when this worked fine before performing any drivers and OS updates. Although I re-installed the original drivers..now it does not work anymore..so perhaps OS updates might causing it??

The issue also exists when using MPC player, but the reason is because the volume dial is no longer controlling the system volume but the media players volume which causes this issue.

I run into this problem when using Spotify. The volume dial doesn't turn the volume up or down while Spotify is the active window.

I don't know if this is the most technical way to fix it but I had the same problem and when I did this it worked: Right-click on desktop then click on Configure Switchable Graphics. Then you should see a Catalyst Control Center window. This is the switchable graphics option and you should see chrome.exe and it might be on Power Saving mode. Press the green button to change it to High Performance mode and the volume issue should be fixed. I don't really know how switching Chrome to High Performance affects battery life but I think it shouldn't affect it much if any since Chrome isn't a crazy power consuming program. Let me know if it works!
