as far as I know, the core i5 envy 15 is unavailable for canadians.

i am aware that there are companies that ship out US products to foreign markets.

what i am looking for is some names of these companies and under which conditions HP will honor a warranty in canada from a US-bought laptop.

You can get an eBay-brought Envy 15 from a Power Seller (I know one I can recommend to you who is also a regular on these Forums) and the warranty on these models will be honored by HP to work in Canada. Make sure these Power Sellers are selling the Envys wrapped in box (the one I recommend sells brand news, never opened ones). The warranty from those will be honored in Canada.

Sorry to barge in, but I've actually been looking at Envy 15s on eBay so the name of a reputable seller would be great.

I just purchased an Envy 15 from Alitunay last week, and it has been confirmed shipped and I am tracking it. It should actually be here today, so perhaps this weekend I will have a large review up for you on how it is, and whether or not he was a good seller.

He was very quick with responses and easy to speak and ask questions to during the sale, so I would already recommend him, but the product is what really matters.

HP Offers the warranty all throughout North America, and in fact, according to "Shirley", the rep I spoke to, all throughout any country you are in. The warranty simply transfers, and in some countries will require you to pay the shipping for it to be repaired (like... Guam or something).

I also live in Alberta (Canada), so this was my only option to get a 2nd Gen Envy 15.
