Hello guys, first of all I want to say thank you for all the help and tips you guys provide on these forums. I have been a "passive" reader for a couple of months now, but now I have a question of my own and so decided to register :)

I have read a lo about the heat issues with the first generation of HP Envy 15.
I was a first day buyer, I fell in love with the specs and design of this laptop and I decided to buy the 1050nr model.

    My specs are :

    i7 Q720 @1.60 GHz Intel Processor
    6GB DDR3 RAM
    External Blue Ray Drive
    ATI Mobility Radeon 4830

From what I've read...100% load temperatures are around the 80C...
I am getting 78-79 and even the 80 on IDLE state...without running any application. The heat will spread all over the laptop to the point that after an hour or two the whole housing of the laptop is untouchable and burns.

This happens every single time. I have tried booting the laptop and not doing anything, and I would come back after an hour and find the laptop at cooking temperatures.

I have made sure all my vents are clear. I used new Thermal Paste on the processor, I cleaned manually on the inside...nothing really helped...

One thing I noticed though......my Turbo Boost technology driver has never been able to install properly...it always shows a yellow warning sign at the device manager. Maybe my processor is being clocked at max because of a malfuncioning driver? I don' know...

Is this norma behaviour...or is there something wrong with my laptop?

All the help would be greatly appreciated guys :)

    Thank you in advance!
