    Hello,

I'm in the market for a new laptop and have settled for the HP Envy 15t series. I need to use an mSATA drive with this laptop along with a standard 5400rpm 1TB drive for storage. Based on a few topics here, some of the HP envy series come with a small SSD drive used for cache and it's my understanding that I can replace this drive and use it as the boot volume to run my operating system along with my programs.
One thread here suggests that I get only 8GB of RAM because the 12GB and 16GB models won't have provision for an mSATA drive, is this true?

    Ultrabooks I'm considering:
    [1] HP ENVY - 15t Slim Touch Laptop | HP® Official Store
    [2] HP ENVY - 15t Slim Quad Laptop | HP® Official Store

I need your help helping me decide on a model that features an mSata slot (vacant or not), along with any 128GB mSATA replacement drives. Thanks for any help.

There is no msata slot for the new envy 15t slim. You'd have to upgrade the whole hard drive to ssd, if you want ssd.
