    Hello,

Not sure if this is common knowledge but I had noticed an annoying problem with my Envy 17 2D display where there seemed to be a constant automatic adjustment of the screen's brightness every few minutes.

It took me a while to discover the issue, but it turns out that the contrast was being automatically adjusted to conserve power.

    To fix:
Control Panel -> System and Security -> Power Options -> Advanced Power Settings -> Intel Graphics Settings -> Intel Graphics Power Plan
Set to Maximum Performance for both battery and plugged in.

Yeah, I noticed this too on my Envy 15 3200.
For me this only happened while on battery, and mainly while playing videos.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it out when I get home.
