I've had this issue ever since I bought it new, but was too lazy to do anything about it until now. Also, I haven't seen any reports of this, perhaps I don't know what to look for, but basically the issue is that if I keep the finger on the touchpad for a few seconds it clicks but itself and super fast. Any idea if this a is a hardware issue or perhaps there is some fix that I don't know about?

I have the same exact problem with my ENVY 15. It only does it sometimes and I haven't found a good way to reproduce it on demand. I even tried the HP support forums (unsurprisingly that didn't help). Earlier it ended up opening the same link in 11 tabs in a split second in my browser.

Also, do you get random TYPES of clicks, too? Sometimes it's left clicks, or right clicks, even occasional middle clicks.

I should also mention mine has done it since new as well, and I've tried every combination of settings. This is my second Envy 15. I returned the first one within 21 days due to a non-functional USB port, and I noticed the same thing on that model. So apparently it's either software or a non-isolated hardware issue.

I'm worried it's hardware, because I'm sure if I send it back under warranty they will just send it back saying they didn't reproduce the issue. I'm not terribly confident in computer companies' support...
