I have an HP Envy 17 and recently tried to update to 11.9 ATI Drivers. I deleted my old CCC and it would not let me install the drivers. Now I can't change my graphics card and am stuck on the integrated card. Can someone help me get back CCC?

Right Click on the installer of AMD/ATI and select "Run as Administrator" see if that works.

You need to reinstall the old drive package so that you have the ability to switch between Intel and AMD. Afterwards, install the new driver, without CCC, over the old one.

You have to totally uninstall the package. Then download the HP package, since theirs includes switchable drivers for both AMD and Intel. Unfortunately with the switchable graphics, one cannot uninstall old drivers before installing new ones. In most cases, just install the latest AMD drivers over the old ones...maintains switchable graphics and Intel drivers are there too. "If" you install on top and CCC doesn't...uninstall again and reinstall the HP package. Some installs require a custom where CCC is left out. You can run new drivers from AMD using the HP CCC. It actually does work with switchable graphics drivers.

If you totally want to clean up your drivers before reinstalling...use Driver Sweeper...

    Phyxion.net

Use in safe mode...check AMD graphics drivers...clean and reboot. You are nice and clean and ready to reinstall HP drivers first...then the 11.9 is you wish

    Great!
I just got power back (I'm in south NY), and used that driver sweeper program to remove the HP drivers, redownload them, and download 11.10 over them. It worked like a charm.

    EXCELLENT...good to hear!

Glad you have power back. Grew up in Conn...and there are still a lot of people without power...storm reaped havoc!
