    Just curious but what's the typical wait time on one of these laptops. I know the people in the owners threads have mentioned it could be months. Does this still apply???

    depends on alot of things. How much your customizing the laptop, where you live, etc.

    CTOs are usually shipped within 2 days.

    self configured ones may take anywhere from 4-7 days to ship.

    well, 4-7 + shipping + shipping delays due to bad weather (in april) when it snowed heavily = pissed off owners.

    I dont own a HP Envy but my laptop took like a week to be shipped to my house. It was a max out laptop.

    I ordered the first day the E17 was available to order on May 19th. Estimated ship date was the 1st of June. They emailed and said it would be delayed. It shipped the 4th. It did say estimated meaning it might ship then or it might not. Some people had their units further delayed. I think a lot of people were more pissed off at HP customer service because many people got the run around on when their orders would ship etc.
