I have an HP Envy 17t-1100 and a Dynex 32" HDTV. I used to be able to connect my laptop to the TV with the HDMI port. But since I reformatted my computer, it doesn't work. The screen on the laptop goes black, and the TV says there's no signal. Fiddling around with the monitor settings doesn't do anything. The only way to make the screen not black is to restart the computer. The TV works with my Playstation 3, and the laptop works with other HDTVs. I don't have another laptop with an HDMI port to test this, but it seems like only the laptop and the TV have trouble communicating. Any advice to fix this?
