Title says it all really.... it appears to me that the new range of Envy 4/6 Ultrabooks/Sleekbooks whatever you want to call it - do not have an integrated headphone and microphone jack (ie TRRS type headphones with combo audio in and out) that all smartphones use.

Clearly seen in this hands on shot are separate audio in and out jacks:

And in the official HP page:
HP ENVY 4 and HP ENVY 6 Ultrabooks | Ultra Thin, Premium Audio

The most inconsistent thing is - the new Spectre and XT model supports it, all the older Envy's (14 etc) supports it - but the new Envy 4/6 don't.

Pretty crappy if you ask me. Envy branding but un-envious features.....

Yea, no. I see the jacks in BOTH photos. You can't miss it.
...and the specs on the next page confirm it.

Ya gotta love it when there's a simple solution to a problem. ;)

Exactly! And it's really not that big of a deal in the big scheme of things. Most computers don't come with integrated TSSR jacks, most are the separate headphone/mic jacks. And with the built-in microphone, there's really no point in complaining about it :p

Its not a deal breaker, and it's not a big deal - but it does show that the "Envy" brand has gone backwards somewhat and quite frankly I am disappointed....

I mean, this is supposed to be the "budget" Envy line, so it's not really surprising.
