    Hi guys,

    i just picked up an HP Envy 4-1130us and so far am LOVING it! My question is, I have an OCZ Agility 4 from an old laptop laying around that I want to stick into the envy. From what I've read, the Envy uses a "slim" disk drive (a 7mm seagate HDD), while the OCZ Agility 4 is 9.3mm thick. Would the "thicker" (by 2.3mm) SSD fit into the drive bay on the envy?

    Also, what speed is the SATA port? The Intel RST application is saying that the mSATA port is 6.0Gbps and the SATA port is 3.0Gbps, but I'm not sure if the SATA port is at 3.0Gbps because of the disk drive or if it is because that's the actual speed of the interface.

    I have not received mine yet so I can not confirm, but generally if they use a 7mm hdd, a 9.3mm will not fit. The smaller ones are generally more expensive, so they use the biggest ones possible.

    On the other hand, many times you can take the 9.3mm out of its protective case, and it will fit in a 7mm. Theres a bit more to it than that though. Here's a link to a guide doing this to a crucial M4. Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 128GB in x220 – modded to 7mm | Vivi The Mage

    There's no guarantee that it would fit even after this. Use guide at your own risk.

    My laptop with sata 2

    - In Intel RST application --> OCZ-VECTOR --> SATA transfer rate : 3 Gb/s

    - In PC Wizard 2012
    ----> Drives ---> Number of Harddisk
    OCZ-VECTOR --> Serial ATA Version 3.0 - (SATA-600)
    ----> Drives ---> Number of Disk Controller
    Bandwidth : 3Gb/s
    Port #0 ATA Device detected - (Generation 2)

    - In HWiNFO64
    ----> Drives --> OCZ-VECTOR
    Disk Controller : Serial ATA 6Gb/s
    ----> Bus -> PCI Bus #0 -> Intel ICH9-M -4-Port SATA -> SATA Host Controller
    Interface Speed Supported : Gen2 3.0Gbps
    ----> Bus -> PCI Bus #0 -> Intel ICH9-M -4-Port SATA -> SATA Port#0
    Interface Speed Supported : Gen2 3.0Gbps

    You can try PC Wizard 2012 and HWiNFO64
