    Hi,

I've been having issues with restoring from an image file on my HP Envy 4. This has been created using the HP software to a SD card and verified as working.

When i run the minimal image restore from HP's software it restores windows 8 but appears to hit problems after logging on automatically as Administrator to install HP's software from the image file on SD.

All i end up with is an error screen stating Restoration Incomplete with the option to Retry (which does the same again) or view and save log. The log states burnboot issues. I've tried the fix to change the date in the BIOS to 2012 but encounter the same problem,

In the end up I've opted for a full factory reset which completes fine but will not activate windows 8 as getting the message that the key is blocked and to buy a new one. I've been on to HP for over a week now and getting nowhere.

    Please help.
