Hi, I have replaced the native hdd and msata ssd with 2 ssd crucial m4 256gb (msata and sata). Both drives have the exact same specs then I decided to create a raid0 volume via intel rapid storage.
I used a bootable usb key to install windows, and had no problem when copying the windows installation files. But i'm not able to complete the installation because I simply can't boot windows. It gave me a "3F0" error code (no bootable device installed).
It seems like the bios does not recognize the boot device when the ssd are in raid0. When going to the Boot Device Options window, pressing the esc key to display the Startup Menu, and then the F9 key, no boot device is displayed (except my USB key).
The problem is definitely boot related because when using a bootable usb key with acronis, this allow me to get past the error and goes to the OS but the issue remains whenever I try to restart without a boot CD or bootable usb key.

HP locked out booting from a mSATA/SATA RAID array. Because of their funky boot permissions, it's the same reason why you can't boot purely from the mSATA and have to have the boot record or EFI on Disk 0. If the BIOS wasn't locked and you could change the boot disk order it wouldn't be an issue.

I'm unsure if it possible on Intel RAID software, but if it is you can try following:
1) Create small RAID1 volume (300 MB will be enough, just to keep bootable UEFI partition on it)
2) Write previously saved UEFI partition to this volume
3) Create RAID0 volume on the rest of drives
4) install windows on volume from step #3
5) probably manually correct boot to load windows from correct partition using BCDEDIT utility (shouldn't be needed I think)
