    Hello everyone,

I got an envy 14 about 2 months ago with the radiance screen.

Then, I purchased a 2 year HP accidental warranty with lojack pack from costco.

About a week ago the laptop was damaged due to an accident in my college dorm (the bunk bed was not built well and a board fell down, hit my laptop and dented it). Also, my roomate accidentally spilled a bit of soda on my keybaord making it sticky to press now.

So, as a college student I need my laptop dearly every day as I do my homework and research on it and I have a couple of concerns.

    1) Would it be possible for me to have them send me a new laptop, give me a few days to transfer files / install things, and then send my old one back?

    2) Do you know if they can send me an envy 14 model with radiance display (that's a big reason I bought this laptop).

    3) What is the difference between the 1050 ca (first gen envy 14 I have) and 1150 ca?

    4) Can I transfer the warranty and lojack I purchased on my damaged envy 14 to the new laptop (if it gets here)?

    Thank you so much!
I'm a college student that really wants this fixed asap.!

Man, tough situation you're in :O

From what I understand, even the people at the resolutions department can't make an order with a radiance screen for you, unfortunately.

Other than that, it should be possible for you to get a new laptop and send the old one back later. The only thing is, you'll need to put a charge on your credit card for how much the laptop costs while you wait for the new laptop to get to you and until you send the old one back.

They'll probably let you start up a new 2 year warranty and lojack system when you get it replaced, too.

    What is the resolutions department?
I thought I could call in and ask them to "elevate" my case to the manager and then he will be able to help me do this radiance screen and send-before-i-shipmyoldone back thing?

And I thought warranty was tied to the laptop?
I bought it through costco's 2 year accidental warranty program.
