can someone explain how hp envy 17 3d with sandy bridge is available on amazon but not on hp.com?

Its not available from amazon.com but available from a third party retailer over amazon website.
Very suspicious item. Looking the specs this Envy does not include Sandy Bridge processor and still comes with ATI 5850. While HP stated in its press release that the new Sandy Bridge Envy will future switchable graphics/discrete GPU with ATI 6850. -
Also, its not Sandy Bridge. But still nice. I just don't get who that kind of power is in there.....it sure is one of a kind if its real. I'd worry about the heat though since its not a Sandy Bridge with the coolsense, and the original Envy 17 was notorious for its heating...so beware.

Argh this is good and bad, go for it now or wait until next month when the i5 SB's are launched and hope they are still offering the radiance?

that is not sandy bridge. All sandy bridge have the new 2000 numbering system. The 920xm is not sandy bridge.
