    Hi All,

I own an HP Envy 4-1117nr. I am thinking of changing out the screen.
What are my options. I want to install a 900p screen in the minimum.

Has anyone taken the leap of faith with the screen and changed it out with something else? Any screen recommendations?

    Thanks.

EDIT: I should have been clear. I want to replace only the LCD panel, not the entire Display assembly.

You may be able to upgrade the screen on a envy 4t 12XX series but we are not sure about it.
What is sure is that you can't do it with a envy 4t or 6t 11XX.

Anyway, if you want to upgrade your envy 4t/6t 12XX, you have no choice but to buy the entire display assembly, unless you can find a used 2ch lvds cable on ebay for example.
