Was wondering if I could run the HP ExpressCard TV Tuner on an HP Compaq 8710w. If not, is there a 3rd party TV tuner ExpressCard that would do the job just as well or better? I see that the specifications say it can only run on Pavilion line of notebooks.

    Thanks,
    Dan

Just buy one of the USB ones. The HP one is not limited to HP. You just need to make sure your have a driver from the card maker that is compatible with your OS. USB external ones are actually preferable since these all get so hot while operating. The USB one is outside your laptop, so it doesn't heat up your laptop's internals.
