Why don't you ask someone in the Acer Forum?

    I don't like it :(
I think you can get a better deal.

What will you be using the notebook for?
    Will you play games?

I will never buy another HP computer.

Dust inside dv7 display is not acceptable for me.

    Timeline series I assume?

Looks like a solid machine, but its hard to say. Working in tech department at Staples showed me that Acers are hit and miss. Havent heard about the new timeline series, seriously dude ask at Acer forum. But then again, most replies you'll probably get are "OMG its AWESOME!" So i would advise asking in the non-branded forum.

Btw, state if the price is in Canadian/US. Assuming its in us, i think you can get a better deal. Up to you though.

Don't forget with these Solo processors you cannot play HD YouTube videos without stuttering. This is one of the biggest downsides.

I wanted to ask on the HP site because of an un bias opinion.
I mostly watch movies off the net, down load movies and surf.
But ya HD off you tube could be a bummer.
As far as the price its CDN and I can still hold out for a sale or a different Lap Top
In the 6 to 700 range what is an outstanding laptop for all of the above, with a 15" screen, if one exists that is LOL.
    Thanks
    Guys

Well, i unno where you were got the quote for the lappy above, but staples sells the same thing with 4gb of ram for 50$ cheaper. Linky

During the summer they had a promotion, where you buy this laptop and get a Acer Aspire easyStore Windows Home Server Station for free (like $600 value)

So if you got the deal, and sell the home server, then essentially you get the laptop for like 50$. Anyways, some food for thought.
