Hello all - this is my first post here FYI,
I recently ordered an HP Pavilion dv6700t online and it shipped a week later (ordered June 17, shipped June 24). The tracking number HP provided me was for a package that ended up shipping from Shanghai to Anchorage, just like all HP notebooks, but once it arrived in Anchorage, it was signed for at a FedEx facility and listed as delivered on the tracking page. A day later nothing has changed.
I called FedEx and they said that the tracking number I was using was for a package that had been shipped to where it was supposed to go (Anchorage) and that everything was fine on their end. They suggested that HP had provided an incorrect tracking number.
HP told me that they were having system trouble with FedEx and that they had pretty much no information on my notebook except that I had ordered it. Apparently several other people had the same problem and HP said that they would call me to let me know what was going on in 24-48 hours and that they were working with a "specialist" from FedEx to sort out the problem.
Does anyone know anything about this and does anyone know what I might get my notebook?
Thanks a lot for any insights!

If they are having a problem, they are having a problem. If they don't call you within the 24-48 hours call them back and ask for a status update on the matter, if they try and bs you, just ask for a higher person on the totem pole and try and get as much information as possible. If they keep telling you they don't know yet, tell them you want a refund and then re-order the laptop.

This sounds familiar. I ordered two HP Pavilion dv6700t's and the tracking numbers I was sent kept showing as not found by the FedEx site. After a couple of days, I called HP and they told me there was a problem with FedEx and they would be sending me 2 new tracking numbers within 24 hours. More than 24 hours later, no new tracking numbers, so I call HP again. They then tell me that the original tracking numbers are correct. Finally, something shows up on the FedEx site, and the packages go from Shanghai to Anchorage to Indianapolis. The FedEx site shows the packages have been in Indianopolis for 4 days. I called FedEx yesterday to find out when I could expect them since there is no expected delivery date shown on the website. They told me they were in Oakland, and would be delivered on Monday. Still no change in the info on the FedEx site today, so I decided to call again to verify, before changing my schedule to be home to receive them. Today FedEx tells me that one will be delivered tomorrow, but they have no idea on the other one, and that I need to call HP to find out. I questioned why HP would know when FedEx would deliver a package, and got no real answer. So I call HP, and of course they have no idea when they will be delivered either. I call FedEx back, and am told they need to initiate an investigation, but I got disconnected before the call was completed. I call FedEx back again, and am told this time that both will be delivered tomorrow. I guess I'll have to wait and see if either of them show up tomorrow.

Sometimes it takes a day or 2 for fedex numbers to update, very rarely, but i've seen it happen. Btw there were no changes for my delivery, but laptop showed up a day earlier then estimate, so don't but too much faith in that.
