    Hello to everyone,

at first: Sorry for my english. I'm from germany.

I've get a HP G231NG Laptop which has a broken BIOS. I absolutely don't know, how the user before my did it but everything won't work. When i start the Laptop nothing happened. Black screen, the WIFI Led lights permantely orange and the Caps Lock Key blinks 2 times. Ok, i searched through the internet and found a possible solution for it. HP BIOS Update through a USB Stick. So i downloaded the actual BIOS from the Website, copied it on the Stick, started the Laptop while holding down WIN+B-Keys and i was very surprised when a windows appears. But when the Laptop started to update the BIOS i get 2 error messages "BIOS check failed" and "Bios Update Failed" (or something else). I tried it with every 3 BIOS Files from the Website but everytime the same thing. After the error appears, the Laptop reboots automaticly und run the Update Tool from the Stick again and again. Since 4 hours [IMG]

Is there a chance to update the BIOS with a special trick? Or should i throw the Laptop into the garbage?

    Thanks for your help!

PS: I believe that there's a new harddrive in the laptop. So there's no bios-recovery-partion or a bootable OS.
