I reloaded WIN7 on this system and now the left/rightclick tab is not working but the scroll pad is working fine, I looked in the DM thinking this has to be a software [driver] issue but I am not seeing anything anything yellowed out, also under Mice and pointing devices I am not seeing the touchpad listed, all it shows is PS/2 Compatible mouse? Even in the Control Panel I am not seeing anything related to the touchpad? help?

Hi Mike.... If you just did a fresh install of Win 7 the installer may not have picked up all of your devices. My suggection would be to go to the appropriate HP support page for your unit and downlaod and install the Touch Pad drivers (likely Synaptics). Windows 7 is usually very good at getting the basic devices loaded but may miss one or two from time to time. After fresh installs I always go back and install the latest chipset, audio, and video drivers along with the Quick Launch button drivers if "any" buttons do not function as advertised. Just because you have no flags in Device Manager does not mean you have the best drivers for your configuration. It means windows found a device and loaded a basic driver.

    Hope that helps, Dave
