I've got an HP G60 that I loaded Windows 7 Home Premium on.

But i'm having an issue with closing the lid while the computer is running. If I do that the computer does NOT go into sleep, the fan kicks on high and if I open the lid back up, the screen refuses to come back on until I do a hard reset.

However, if I go to start -> suspend, It will go to sleep and resume no problem (even if i close the lid AFTER suspending my machine)

Yes, I have checked my power options, and my BIOS are up to date. So are my device drivers.

I'm hoping this may just be a BIOS/driver bug that hasn't been fully updated by HP yet?

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks.
