hi, I've had this computer for about 5 months and have never dropped it or anything. Occasionally, completely at random after turning the computer on, the screen will be completely black with grayish lines on it, but you can still hear the sounds of the computer starting up. After turning it off and on again a few times the problem stays the same and the only thing that will fix it is leaving the comp. off for a while (anywhere from 30 mins to a day).

This problem happens out of nowhere (only happens when turning the computer on after it's been powered off, not in the middle of using the computer) and has done it probably around 6 times so far.

I would advise you to plug it into an external display for a while and see weather the issue effects it on the external display as well. If it does, then you have a GPU issue, if it doesn't, LCD issue.
