    HP G60-249wm wifi stopped working, new wifi card, light goes blue to red

    HP G60-249wm wifi stopped working, bought a new wifi card with matching part number, light goes blue to red while it is booting to windows. i believe we connected the antennas well enough. i'm not sure if this is fixable ? what possibilities could there be ?

    is this an Atheros wireless card? If so they had some problems with those when the G series first came out. I would advise updating the BIOS on the machine and checking if there is a more up to date driver, because as far as I remember that is was the fix for it.
