Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my processor from a 1.9 ghz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core TK-57, any advice on what kind I can buy?

I've been told that voltage and power draw are important but I can't find this information for my CPU... does the new one have to be AMD? Are intel chips compatible?

    Thanks in advance

No, only AMD´s processors. You need a socket S1g1 processor.

    Yours:
AMD Processors for Notebooks: AMD Turion? 64 X2 Mobile Technology, AMD Athlon? 64 X2 Dual-Core, Mobile AMD Sempron? Processor

Preferabily new processor 31W or lower TDP.
Also you need BIOS support for the new processor.
