    Hi All,

I have a HP G62-B39EZ bought in Switzerland. It came preloaded with Win 7 64 bit which I had to remove. I installed Win Vista Ultimate 32 bit (clean install on a formatted hdd). Now I have a problem with the switchable graphics...Vista fails to detect the ATI card. In Device Manager I can see 2 display adapters, one should be the integrated gfx, and the other should be the ATI card, but both are detected as "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter". I then downloaded the 32-bit drivers for the Intel HD graphics and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 gfx card, and installed those in that order, and now I have the Intel HD graphics drivers correctly installed (i.e. can see that in Device Manager), but the ATI card is still not detected (i.e. it still shows up as "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter"). I tried uninstalling both drivers, and then installing the ATI one first and then the Intel one, but to no avail. I also tried downloading and installing older versions of the ATI driver from HP, but still nothing. I then tried installing drivers from other HP sites, and not just the Swiss one...mainly HP UK and HP USA, but still nothing. I scoured google for any one who had similar issues, but didn't find any solution that worked.

I am now at my wits end...is there any way I can get the ATI drivers installed in Vista on this...pardon my French...bloody laptop? Any help would be greatly, greatly, greatly appreciated !

    Thank you in advance,
    Danny
