-
the hdx is a nice desktop replacement machine
-
The build quality is very good.
You're better off with the 1680 x 1050 resolution as that is the standard native resolution for 20" monitors. 24 in monitors have 1920 x 1200 resolution.
The only problem is that blu-ray HD movies will be shown in 720 p instead of 1080p. No biggie since @ 20" you wouldn't be able to really tell the difference. -
tanX for your answer
it was a good news
blu-ray is not important, because i don't watch
-
another think i want to know is, about installing XP
i want to install XP near Vista
but i read there isn't drivers for it
is all of other driver except sound card available for this machine?
tanX and sorry for my bad English -
Actually the sound driver for XP was found by a poster named UMAR on this site.
Here's the URLs for discussion on it as well as the other XP drivers:

sorry for my bad English
-
it shouldn't have any problems staying on for a long time. in any case you should check the internal temperature. and don't worry about your english, it's brilliant
-
tanX for my English
how check? and how i know what temp is normal?!!
another think i want to say it about Geforce 8800
in http://www.hpdrivers.mercs.us/ there isn't any Driver for it and HDMI!!!! (Only ATI)
-
Check the temperature with HWMonitor: http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php
-
Latest Nvidia XP drivers found on this site:

You will need to follow site instructions carefully. Involves replacing the .inf file with a modified one before install. -
Do 2900$ is good price for this unit?

Integrated Hybrid TV Tuner lets you watch, record, and pause live
live TV using Windows Vista or the HP QuickPlay TV feature on

transmissions or switch to analog for access to cable or satellite
satellite TV programming. -
My question is answered right there.
i want to know about s-video in and Air anten input, that you answer -
sorry, i have another question
i tell seller fior bag, and he tell me they haven't any bag for it
how i do?
what bag you have friends?
and another think is about 56K modem. seller say me it has, but in the review, i can't see!!! -
Unfortunately, there's no 56k modem. You'll have to buy an USB 56k modem or an expresscard one.
As for a bag, there was a discussion on the "Official HDX owner's lounge' about which third party ones to get.
This was one of the favorites:

sorry for my bad english
tanX for your answer
this is better than nothing too
-
sorry for my more questions
is there any skin for HDX or a thing like that? -
Though there are companies out there that make custom notebook/laptop skins. I never thought to do anything like that so I don't know of any good companies that I could recommend.
It's a cool idea though. Might want to google "custom laptop skins" and see what turns up. -
i see the companies skin and search some of them
but all of them create skin for max 17" laptop, and doesn't anyone make for a 20" notebook -
now i revieve my HDX
how i know it is a good unit?
what i do? what thing i check?
please some one explain me how i can find it is a good and without problem unit
tanX for asnwers -
hey 2.0
where are you?
now i need you
how i know this unit hasn't any problem and is good? -
1. Check the touch panel buttons to see if they all work.
2. Try to run Quickplay when not in windows.
3. Check to see if all speakers work.
Other than that, there really hasn't been all that many problems with the model.
