I have been trying to figure out how to resolve this issue, but the HP quicktouch software is definitely not working reliably for the HDX16 as it will freeze more often than not. I have tried even the 1.00D version of Quicktouch and it disables the on-screen volume display on x64 machines.
I also tried the Microsoft intellitype software and it does not show any bass/treble controls on the display.
I am just trying to figure out what software HP used on my machine from the factory as it looked more like the intellitype software with 3 green bars for volume/bass/treble accordingly and it worked quite well.
is there any HDX16 owner who hasnt done a clean wipe of their system or kept their software files from the partition? i would really appreciate some help.
I did a clean wipe of my system without backing up my recovery partition thinking all the drivers would be available on HPs website.
am currently running Windows Vista Business x64

is there not a single HDX16 owner that has any issues with their bass/treble buttons not working?

Hello speedracerlo, i have the swsetup files still since i haven't done any (clean)reinstall yet. My hdx16t has this glitch though when watching tv through Windows Media Center. Anytime I have WMC on full screen and change the volume, it does that freeze thing. It's more like the volume software take WMC out of full screen mode, very annoying. I'm going to try HP's Quick Launch version 6.40.8.2 H, hopefully it stops this annoyance. If you need some files from swsetup, the audio folder i assume, im me at mca5287 on yahoo.
