so.. i ordered an HDX16t for college recently, and I realized I didn't order it with the backlit keyboard I wanted.. yeah i was dumb but college is still a month away so when it arrives, would it be free for me to return it ?? i also used a coupon code NBZ2897 which gives $250 off.. so when the laptop comes the coupon will be expired. does that mean i have to pay that extra? or can i just return it and just pay the extra $50 for the backlit keyboard

any opinions on whether a backlit keyboard is worth all this trouble are welcome too haha i mean i dont gota look at the keyboard when i type but i still think having 1 would be nice

You can't return it and just pay to upgrade the keyboard for $50..

Also the $250 off coupon expired today so you will miss out on the discount if you do decide to return it, unless you return it and wait for another coupon to come out. You will not be charged for returning it..

As for the backlit keyboard I personally like it and use it almost all the time.. especially at night time. Plus I think it looks cool

    good luck.

Are you sure of this? Because after getting no replies I text chatted an HP sales agent and she said that I could return it and pay the extra 50 even though the coupon was expired... maybe she didnt know what she was talking about so Ill check again tomorrow.

Return the laptop. Then wait for a new coupon. Reorder it. Easy. I forgot to order the TV tuner with my first one so I bought another one with it and sent the 1st one back.

True, but the coupon I used was real good $250 off lol, but yeah I just spoke to another rep and he said the same thing... I could just exchange the laptop and pay the difference for the different upgrades I want, the coupon even if expired would still be credited
