    My system recovery went to hell.......both hard drive and cd.......it does not boot to vista....i dunno what to do....i wanna install xp...can some one help me how to do this including the drivers.......i really i need to get this done....

    I have the HP Pavillion dv9320us....and I need to know whether XP is gonna work perfectly on this laptop.....I mean...it says for dv9500

    I have the same laptop as you, and at one point in time I had XP on it as well.

    I wouldn't say it worked *perfectly*, but it worked without any hitches that were beyond my control.

    Only thing I didn't really like was 1) Battery life seemed to take a hit, but thankfully not too large as I mainly use it on AC power anyway, and 2) the media keys up top worked, but when you use the volume button it brought you back onto the desktop if you were playing a game or something like that.

    Well I be able to gain full use of my hd screen with xp?? also will the audio be as loud when I had vista?? Thanks for the response

    Yes, the nVidia drivers allow use of up to 1440x900 (native resolution) on XP.

    Now, if you're talking about an external screen using HDMI, that I don't know. I never was able to test it (I don't have an HDTV), but I have heard of problems with it.

    As far as volume goes, I think it's about the same.

    Can anyone help find out why my notebook wont recognize my soundcard...all i need is to install audio and it is perfect....Anyone??
