Hello everyone. Does anyone know if HP offers international warranty on the Pavilion zt 3000 bought in the U.S.A? I will probably relocate to Spain within a year. I called HP and I spoke to several people but I got conflicting information. Can someone confirm this issue, either way and let me know where it is mentioned on line?

    Thank you.

I believe their standard warranty on all consumer models (Pavillion & Presario) have a 1 year world-wide warranty (depot only). I believe Spain is included in the list of countries. Here's an FAQ I found regarding the Global Warranty:

And here's a link to the ZT3000's Limited Warranty and Technical Support Statement as found on their website & also the World Wide support phone numbers list, which Spain is included:

Thank you for your information. I am glad to find out that HP laptop computers do offer an international warranty. However it is just one year, right? What about phone service? Also, is there any way to extend the warranty to a three year international warranty? How about Total Care? Can it be international? Is there any on site warranty?

I would appreciate your information on this matter.

    1. Yes, the default warranty on the Pavilion & Presario models are only 1 year.
    2. It can be extended upto 3 years by purchasing the extended warranty.
    3. Phone service is usually covered for the extent of the warranty that you have on the unit, it you purchased an extended warranty, then phone support will last upto that period.
    4. I believe by purchasing the extended warranty, you're upgrading the exisiting features of the default warranty
    5. Total Care is part of the default 1 year warranty as indicated on HP's website: http://ipgweb.cce.hp.com/service_warranty/html/index.html
This service includes phone support for hardware & software
    6. Total Care is just your standard 1 year warranty & provides phone & email support for hardware & software issues, including repair
    7. There is an onsite warranty plan that you can purchase as an upgrade to your standard warranty, but I believe it's only for the country you bought the unit from.

I'd recommend that you call HP @ 1-800-652-6672 and speak to someone regarding the extended warranty information. They should be able to give you a firm answer to all your questions.
