    Hello,

Short story short - a few days ago I idiotically knocked over a 1/4th full soda onto the keyboard of my dv9500t....... now 4 of my keys are unbearably stiff/crunchy/sticky.

I need to get in there to clean that junk out....... I assume you can take off the keys......but the deal is.....I put two flatheads on both sides of a key and start pulling up and meet a darn good deal of resistance - I've never removed a laptops keys but I could see under it and they looked complicated - a visible spring etc. Anyways - with the same force I could pull off a normal/desktops keyboard keys off so I just want to confirm that you can remove the keys from a dv9500t before I put as much force required to pull it off.

    Thanks.

Of note: I put even more force into it a 2nd time and it seems to lift the bottom of the keyboard.

I've never removed individual keys on the DV series laptops, so I'm not sure. You can remove the keyboard and try and clean it, or if worst comes to worst you can order another keyboard and replace the one you have.

Here's the manual on how to take apart the dv9700 so you can take the keyboard out to make it a little easier:

Try sliding them forward or around instead of just pulling at it. That's how I removed the keys on my Dell, which had a spring as well.
