I'm REALLY close to buying a HP laptop atm and I've set my eyes on: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10121768&catid=#

If some of you can't see, these are the specs:

    Base Features
Approximate Battery Life Dependent On Usage
    Hard Drive Speed/Capacity 320 GB SATA 5400RPM
Optical Drive 8X Super Multi LightScribe DVD+/-R/RW DL
    Processor Speed 2.0 GHz
Processor Type Intel Core 2 Duo T6400
RAM 4 GB DDR2 (Exp. To 8 GB)
    Screen Size 17.3"
    Graphics
    Discrete Video Memory Yes
    Expandable Video Memory No
Graphics Chipset ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
    Integrated Video Memory Yes
    Native Screen Resolution 1600 x 900
    Upgradable Video System No
    Video Memory 1024 MB

I'm just wondering how the GPU will stand in gaming, I want to max or near max games like Mass Effect, Bioshock 2, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Fallout 3.

Another question is whether the CPU will bottleneck the GPU?

I meant Mass Effect 1. :p But thanks for your reply.

On Fallout 3 do you think I could play it with high/med?

I went to notebookcheck and the numbers seem pretty high on that gpu.

As for the other games I mentioned I should be able to max no problem right? Starcraft 2, Diablo 3.. etc.

I did check that thread but could not find the video card on there. How badly would the CPU bottleneck the GPU?

its good for moderate those 2 cards are like almost equal ... the 9600m gt proably will win with the same specs because its not as cpu dependent
