Does anyone have a problem with the HP mic not picking up your voice? I think it might be because I talk low, but I'm not sure.

I tried to record my self playing guitar, but after the first 5 seconds, it drops down to a really low sound, when I listen to the recording.

I tried to record on Audacity and SoundBooth, but they both gave me the same results.

    Anyone?

Check your speaker "properties", under the "enhancements" section. make sure Voice Cancellation is NOT selected.

My computer shipped with that selected, and I was awfully close to returning my computer for a refund, until I found that it was enabled.

Once I disabled voice cancellation, recording acted like I expected it should.
