I own a HP Mini 1120NR, which is the MI version of the Mini. The Specs are:

    1.6 Atom
    1 gig ram
    16GB SSD
    3 Cell Battery
    10.1 inch screen

I love the thinness of the machine as well as the glossy screen. However, I have had some issues with the machine and I have only ownded it 20 days or so so HP agreed to do a new system replacement. They are replacing it with the HP Mini 110 MI Edition, these are the specs they are agreeing to:

    1.66 Atom
    1 Gig Ram
    16GB SSD
    6 Cell Battery
    10.1 in screen

So I am getting the bettery batter and the small bump up in processor speed. But while I havent seen the new 110's up close yet, I know they are a tad thicker and they do not contain the glossy screen, 2 things I am already missing...

Do you think I got a decent deal, in terms of the trade off. I mean it will be nice having the bettery battery and the highter processor. To me though design wise I think they took 2 steps back on the "new" HP Mini's.

    Opinions please??

From what I have read. The Mini 110's can play Call of Duty 4 :MW on low settings at 30-ish FPS. I don't know if that matters to you though. I have a Mini 110 demo at work. I'll play with it today and report back.

why do you think they took two steps back? what do you dislike about the newer model?

I would definitely take the 110 over the 1210NR, but i would also ask hp to sweeten the deal since this did cause you some downtime and work stopage.

Your probably thinking of the mini 311 with the Nvidia Ion graphics. These ones have GMA 950s and arn't going anywhere fast, plus these are the Linux versions. I have seen both of the units (mini 110s and mini 1000s) and I know what you mean. The 1000 is thinner than the 110, and has a touchpad disable button that was omitted in the new ones. The only thing you are gaining with the new one is the bigger battery.
