    HP Mini 1000 with Windows 7 ?

    do you think my Mini 1000 be able to handle windows 7 ??
    Currently it has an Intel Atom processor with 1GB of RAM

    Maybe I shoukd upgrade the RAM to 2GB , whch is what my xps1530 has with vista

    any way I think the mini is cool . It was an impulse buy. :D

    I believe Windows 7 requires 15-18 GB of hard drive space. That might be your only bottle neck. You would need to run everything without AERO obviously.

    My Mini 1000 runs Windows 7 perfectly with 2GB of RAM (even 1GB is sufficient if you're not a heavy user). Aero is supported and does not degrade performance.

    Copy the contents of the DVD onto a large USB flash drive or hard disk, make it bootable and boot from USB on the Mini. You can search on Google for how to do this.
    If you have an external DVD drive, you can burn it to DVD and install it that way too.
