Hi.
I have a question - what type of 3G modem does this netbook have?
What is the part name/number?
Does anybody know if it is possible to get this modem working in Linux?
Thanks!

The Mini 110 uses the HP un2400 mini card.

@MDR8850: I was talking about this model:

It states that it has integrated 3G.
@multics: Thanks for the info! You don't happen to have any Linux experience with that card? -
Unfortunately no. I do know third party connection clients will work with it (I was able to establish a connection to Sprint using Sprint's own Smartview client). However, this was only after having HP's Connection Manager software switch the card's profile to Sprint, which I think reflashes the card with a different firmware image.
That said (and be aware I'm not exactly an authority on this), it would seem the card could work with Linux if either:
A. A Linux version of HP's client already exists, in which case you would just use that.
or
B. You first use the Windows client to flash the card with the correct firmware for your WWAN provider (something I think you only have to do once, unless you plan to switch providers/profiles at some point), then you boot to Linux and establish a connection using your own client (assuming one exists for Linux). -
Have you tried using this http://www.codon.org.uk/~mjg59/gobi_loader/ for flashing?
