I believe the express card remote is for XP Media Center (which is a new option on the dv2000t).

HP Mobile Remote Control = for use with HP notebooks that have PCMCIA Slots.

HP Mobile Remote Control Express Card = for use with HP notebooks that PCMCIA Express Card Slot.

Here's a picture of the two I have, one from my dv1000 with the PCMCIA Slot, and the other from my dv2000 with the PCMCIA Express Card Slot:

I recommend the HP Mobile Remote Control Express Card, since your dv2000 will probably have the PCMCIA Express Card Slot, like mine, and several friend's dv2000's have.

    Hope this is helpful.

    :)

this has to have been a mistake on hps part. the dv2000 doesn't have a pcmcia slot! only the new express slot! why would they ever offer a pcmcia remote for a laptop that doesn't have one!

They don't. ExpressCard remote is the only one offered for dv2000, PC card is offered for dv1000 series.

    Hi joms,
The Express Card Remote is pretty cool. It controls lots of program functions also. You will have to play with it to find out what it will and what it won't do.
