    Hi all,
I've got a HP NC4000 with 512MB RAM and Pentium M1.3Ghz. I wanna upgrade it a bit more because I'm running MS Office 2007 and it's a bit slow. I've found this processor on Ebay and wonder if it's suitable for my lappy. Here's the details:
    Intel Pentium M 730 1.6 GHz 533FSB Centrino CPU SL86G. .

About the RAM, I noticed that there is only 1 slot underneath and another slot is located inside the laptop and under the keyboard so I reck on they're 256MB each. So should I go for a 1GB RAM (PC2100) and just replace the external one or just replace both?

And is it easy to replace the processor? I dont have any experience with that but been playing around with my lappy for a while.

Thank you for your time and I really appreciate your help.

A .3MHZ processor upgrade isn't going to improve anything much.

You'll notice a bigger speed boost by adding 1GB+ of RAM

No, it's not easy to replace the processor. It requires taking the entire laptop apart, removing the heatsink, and re-applying thermal paste.
