    HP NC6000 hard drive upgrade

    The three years old NC 6000 is euqipped with Hitachi 5K80 40GB hard drive. It's the fastest 5400 rpm HDD 3 years ago, but now it's almost full and not as responsive. Should I upgrade to Hitashi 7K100 100gb (fastest HDD with P-ATA port), any obvious performace gain. Or upgrade to 5k160? Which is better?

    You can compare the 7K100 and the 5K160 at Tom's Hardware 2.5" HDD charts.

    I think you will need the ATA interface not the SATA interface (avoid the model numbers ending in SA).
